Think, Act and Grow
This post is about my lessons learned from the book that I’m reading currently. I have read this book more than once and every time I read it, it gives a different perspective. Learning to say ‘NO’ is one such lesson. Knowing when and where to stop and accepting ‘NO’ from others in a good spirit. Success comes to a person after many such small NO’s and defeats. Victory is getting up after every defeat and working again towards the goal. Every time you get up, you are one step closer to your goal. Plus you get new learnings too.
Speaking of success, one should always work towards a goal or purpose. If not there is no point of getting up next morning and what you can look forward to. Think and grow rich focuses on how a person’s thought process can help in leading a successful life. How you control your thoughts make all the difference. It’s like, if we are surrounded by negative people, doing politics everywhere, then our mind also attracts towards that. But if are surrounded by good people, just involved in one’s own work and sharing laughter all around, then you are also happy and good things happen.
Don’t let emotions take over your thoughts. For example: Imagine you are getting ready for work and while leaving you spilled coffee on your shirt. The obvious reaction is irritation, since you are already late for work and on top of that this happens. Now, you get changed quickly and leave for work. On commute you get traffic, you again get irritated, angry and maybe complaining why me God. And till the time you reach office, maybe your boss also gives a stern look and this upsets you. Now, by this time, you are upset and have no desire of working that day. This gives your subconscious ind the indication that nothing good is going to happen today. So, there it happens. So, rather than being upset and dragging things, let’s just smile and move on!
