New Year, New resolutions
We all set some resolutions for the new year, hoping that they will transform our life completely. Some keep a resolution of travelling more, weight management, healthy eating, better time management, travel more, give time to a hobby, read more books etc.
There is a reason why most people who keep resolutions can’t stick to it and few can. Resolutions are the things which you want to achieve or want to overcome. So, try to make resolutions which are short term and not long term. Once you keep a short term resolution you will always stay motivated and the excitement to achieve it, stays with you. For example- if your resolution is reading more books. Make the resolution as read 1 new book and complete it every month. So here, the resolution is specific and time constrained.
For singles, set your goals, divide it in short term and stick with it. For couples, what I would suggest is, have individual as well as couple goals. For example- My individual goal is I want to be a full time blogger and want to create my identity in health industry by blogging. And my couple goal is to travel a new place every year.
Apart from these goals, it’s very important not to take so much pressure on you. Don’t stress out yourself saying Oh my God, 1 month passed by and I am still at the same point, am not getting closer to my goal. Understand, what thoughts are you having. Do positive self talks. You are growing everyday. You become a better person everyday. You can achieve it by reading some inspirational books or listening to audio books. Remember, your thoughts, your actions and your visualisations are very powerful. So, be positive.
This year, declutter your associations. It simple means surround yourself with people who admire you, motivate you and always make you happy. It doesn’t mean that you stop talking to people who discourage you, but it simple means understand where your time goes in and with whom.
So, this year, make a promise to yourself on having a healthy, positive life surrounded with more laughter and time for your loved ones. Stay Blessed 🙂
