Nutrition tips I’d give my Younger self
As an adolescent, our body goes through many physical changes – changes that need to be supported by a healthy, balanced diet. If you’re watching your weight, a healthy balanced diet is the way to go. Dieting, skipping breakfast or starving yourself don’t work.
So here are some nutrilition tips that I wish I’d given my younger self.
- Compassion
You don’t need to be very hard on yourself. So offer yourself some compassion, do your best and let go of the rest. Remember, that it’s always the journey that matters.
- Keep it simple.
Eating healthy is not complicated. Simply add some fruits and vegetables some seeds and you are ready to go.
- Find a balance
When you have so much information from very site, you are just confused on what to follow and what not. Try not to get influenced by friends, relatives, social media etc. Finding balance means you need to be strong enough to not get persuaded by others like detox, weight loss.
- Eat in company
It’s always good to eat with friends and family and be happy when you are eating. That way your body gets food, rather than sitting infront of television and watching a video.
- Eat more fruits
You may not be a good fruits fan, but trust me a simple step towards fruits will go a long way. Just carry a fruit wherever you go.
- Prepare your meal
Have a habit of planning what you are going to eat this week. In that way, you are aware of which vegetables to purchase and what to prepare.
Cook in batches in the weekend so that your entire week can go smoothly.
- Eat regularly
Always carry a small snack when you go out. In that way you won’t be tempted to eat outside and you can save lot of money.
- Drink more fluids
Carry a small whaer bottle at all time. Infact you can carry coffee or tea too.
- Spice up your life
We have so many spices, why not just add those in your food in the right amount.
- Stay strongFollowing a diet, and doing exercise daily needs huge focus and mental strength. So, stay strong.
- Envision what you want to beWe all have role models. We don’t have to be someone else, be comfortable in your skin and inbuilt the qualities from your role models. You can keep a picture of your role model in your room or you can write down what you want to inbuilt in your personality. You will always succeed.
I hope these tips help you in some way or other. Trust me you don’t have to try every tip at once, but take one tip at a time.
